Boro Move For Midfield Duo - Date: 23 Jun 2008
Middlesbrough have been linked strongly with Zoltan Gera over the past year and are at the front of the queue to land the out of contract midfielder.
Gera is thought to be anxious to leave the club after it became clear that the club were unlikely to offer him an improved deal.
Other clubs
currently tracking Gera include Everton, Bolton, Wigan, Aston Villa, Celtic and Benfica.
Boro are also close to a £2 million deal for
Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis. According to the Mail, "The 28-year-old was out of favour with Harry Redknapp last season but Boro boss Gareth
Southgate is a long-term admirer."
"Davis would join former team-mate Gary O'Neil at Boro."
