Bamford completes £5 million Boro move
Patrick Bamford has completed his move to Middlesbrough FC from Chelsea.
The striker passed his medical last night and signs a four-and-a-half-year deal, returning to the club which saw his most successful loan spell. The former England U21 international scored 19 goals in total, with 17 coming in the league.
Although Bamford never made a senior appearance for Chelsea since joining for £1.5 million from Nottingham Forest, Chelsea deemed the player to be worth an initial £5 million to Boro.
It's understood the fee could rise to £10 million based on appearances, if Boro stay up, and future international appearances.
Bamford is likely to be in the squad to face West Ham United on Saturday.
