Predictions League Cup 2016/17

This season we will have a cup competition that runs in parallel with the league fixtures and will be predicted upon the FA Cup games.

The competition will start with a qualifying round that will be played on the fixtures of the 3rd Round of the FA Cup. It will be  standard knock out competition from the following round onward with 32 teams competing. 

20 predictors from the new entries and lowest positioned last season will be picked to compete in the qualifying round - with all other predictors automatically being entered into the first round proper. If however we have any serial non predictors at this point of the season - they will automatically be eliminated from the competition at the qualifying round stage. 

The qualifying round draw will be posted 2 weeks before the 3rd round of the FA Cup is due to take place.

There will be no replays with predictors asked to also predict the time of the first goal - the closest predictor to the correct time will go through to the next round.

In latter rounds when there are less than 10 fixtures to predict on - there will be a list of match incidents to predict upon. These will be confirmed at the announcement of each fixture list.
