Hi all, I'm posting Round 12 fixtures early this week as I'm going to be tied up with work until Thursday.

So here are your Round 12 Fixtures for each Division.

Round 12

Some great fixtures this week, stand out head 2 heads must include Barticus v Kayleigh who finished equal on points in 3rd in the accummulated league (although Kayleigh edged ahead on countback). Fanatic v Huntsboro is a top 6 clash, Kier v Smogster is a classic fixture dating back to last year's cup final and Stubbzy v Neverbefore is surely a modern classic match up - these two of course finished 1 & 2 in Group A of the ACON PL Cup.

Moving into Division 2 Armster v Jordan is 7th v 3rd and should be a very entertaining match and there's the little case of the top 2 Boroste and Prowler going head to head and this fixture is my match up of the round.

Early days in Division 3 and both ties have great potential based on last round and exploits in the PL Cup and ACON PL Cup. Meanwhile Borogecko will be aiming to beat the average score in Division 3 - a good week could see him claim his first 3 points.

Division 1

2plus2 v Foggans
Ayresome v Andy
Barticus v Kayleigh
Chickenlunch v Misterweed
Cornish v Penge
Donny v Treknut
Fanatic v Huntsboro
Gladgareth v Will
Holgate v Cowman4boro
Kier v Smogster
Paphos v Tylergomez
Stubbzy v Neverbefore
Tyroneboro v Oslo

Division 2

Armster v Jordan
Benji v Redjacq
Boroste v Prowler
Boro-unger v BoroDownSouth
Honeywell v Boro 86
Jesus v Thepassenger
Maccarone v Angus
Magooder v Boroboy
Ollie v Noddy
Osvaldo v Downsouth
Tellerion v Workington
Vectorboro v Brunners
Welshy v Starbuy

Division 3

CStephenson v Motor Mouth
Seanorawe v JHalden
Borogecko v Average Score of other Scores in Division 3 -1 point

Saturday 11th February

Barnsley v Birmingham
Crystal Palace V Doncaster
Hull V Bristol City
Ipswich V Middlesbrough (+ first goalscorer of course)
Leeds United V Brighton
Leicester V Cardiff
Millwall V Derby
Nottm Forest V Watford
Peterborough V West Ham
Reading V Coventry

Predictions as always in by 2.00pm on Saturday please

Well with the cold weather we've got outside, i hope these results will warm some of you up

Well we have a very low scoring round this week for the cup and some will be disappointed with their results.

Ten Championship one:

Brighton v Leicester - Home
Bristol City v Leeds - Away
Burnley v Peterborough - Draw
Cardiff v Blackpool - Away
Coventry v Ipswich - Away
Doncaster v Reading - POSTPONED
Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace - Draw
Portsmouth v Hull - POSTPONED
Watford v Barnsley - Home
Birmingham v Southampton - Draw

Five Barclays Premier League one:

Norwich v Bolton - Home
QPR v Wolverhampton - Away
Stoke v Sunderland - Away
West Brom v Swansea - Away
Wigan v Everton - Draw

Now on to the important stuff of the competition.

Andy 2-2 Gladgareth - Andy Wins 2-1 on Pens and reaches the last 16.
Barticus 3-1 Will
Boroboy 2-3 Treknut
Chickenlunch 1-3 Workington
Cowman4boro3-2 Oslo
Donnysmog 1-3 Fanatic
Foggans 2-4 Motormouth
Jordan 1-2 Alfaboy
Maccarone 1-0 Brooksy - Maccarone will probably be breathing a shy of relief at that Brooksy failed to predict.
Ollie 3-1 Kier
Osvaldo 3-2 Neverbefore
Penge 3-1 The Passenger
Redjacq 2-1 Boro-Unger
Starbuy 2-3 Cornish
Stubbzy 2-0 Noddy
Vectorboro 2-1 2plus2

Well we do tend to have rounds like this that are very low scoring.
The fact we had 2 games postponed didn't help the scoring. However The shock news is that last years Runner up Kier is out of the tournament and a lot of other big names have fallen by the wearside too.

Andy finally gets a victory under his belt thanks to a penality shootout and will be hoping this luck will see him go on a winning streak. Vectorboro is another one who's done good today by knocking out 2plus2. Motormouth is yet again the standout performer of the round by knocking Foggans out of the cup and his other fellow new boy Alfaboy is also through to the last 16. The returning Ozzy Osvaldo is also through to the last 16 after his win over Neverbefore. We also say goodbye to PL legends Oslo and Chickenlunch this round after both got beaten by their opponents. Plus runaway leader Treknut is through to the next round of the cup aswell and Maccarone is through thanks to Brooksy not predicting.

The Sid Owen Ashes:
First Leg tie:
Welshy 2 - 2 Smogster (Agg score 2-2, second leg will be played at the Smogster Arena)

Well the first round of this tie see's a draw at the Fishguard stadium in Wales in front of a cracking home support aswell. The home fans and away fans went away from this match feeling happy with what they'd seen. However Smogster will surely be favourite having got home advantage in the 2nd leg.

The less important stuff but still important none the less:

What i've done with those who played friendlies is to add their Championship and Premier League scores as one!

Tylergomez 0-3 Paphos
Borodownsouth 0-4 Boro86
Atokous 0-6 Jesus
Magooder 2-4 Tyroneboro
Boroste 0-2 Misterweed
Benji 0-2 Angus
Honeywell 4-5 Armster
Holgate 5-7 Ayresome
Prowler 5-0 Brunners
Kayleigh 2-2 Tellerion
Huntsboro 3-3 Downsouth

Lots of high scoring games here and the stars of the show are Jesus and Ayresome who picked up decent scores.

Well the next round of the Cup will take place on the 25th February and the Draw for the next round of the Cup will take place this Tuesday 7th February at 8PM.

However before I go I would like to Offer Kier the chance of playing me in the next Round of the Cup in a Friendly as we played a couple of crackers last year.

Thats it for now, any mistakes you can spot let me know.

MIDDLESBROUGH vs SUNDERLAND

Venue: The Riverside
Date: 8th February, 7:45pm

TEAM NEWS
TBC later.

MATCH FACTS
The visitors' fortunes in the FA Cup have been mixed over the last few years and they have failed to get further than the last 16 since 2005. In the previous round they defeated Peterborough 2-0 at London Road. They will have been bolstered by a win at Stoke in the Premier League this week and a convincing home win against Norwich the previous week.

SUNDERLAND
LAST 5 MATCHES
Stoke 0 - 1 Sunderland
Sunderland 3 - 0 Norwich
Sunderland 1 - 1 Middlesbrough
Sunderland 2 - 0 Swansea
Chelsea 1 - 0 Sunderland

AWAY RECORD
W3 D2 L6 F13 A13

Boro reached the Semi Final in 2006, losing 1-0 at home against West Ham. They have also reached the Quarter Final stage on 5 other occasions in the last 6 years. Historically, this is a competition they seem to like, although they have been knocked out in the 3rd round in each of the last two seasons.

MIDDLESBROUGH
LAST 5 MATCHES
Middlesbrough 0 - 0 Crystal Palace
Leicester 2 - 2 Middlesbrough
Sunderland 1 - 1 Middlesbrough
Coventry 3 - 1 Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough 0 - 2 Burnley

HOME RECORD
W5 D8 L2 F15 A12

The hosts will be looking to improve on their recent league form, which has seen them caught by the chasing promotion pack and overhauled by two other teams.

ONES TO WATCH
The first tie at the Stadium of Light showed Sunderland have the talent to progress to the next round, with players such as Sebastien Larsson and Stephane Sessegnon providing the main goal threat. Youngster Conor Whickham and Frazier Campbell, who got the equaliser in the first match will also provide a stern test for the Boro defence.

VERDICT
The visitors' away record suggests they may struggle, but the matching goals for and against columns bear testament to the fact they tend to keep it tight away from home. Boro struggled to beat Shrewsbury in the previous round and are notoriously shaky in front of a home crowd. The one glimmer of hope is that they tend to up their game against superior opposition and will hopefully be boosted by a big, noisy crowd, eager for a rare (these days) North-East derby.

I really wouldn't want to call this one. As usual this will be a match where anything could happen.

I have read on the BBC today that Terry will be removed as England captain. Personally I am glad that this has occurred as what he has done and what he has been accused of should not warrant him such an honour. I know in this country there is a term used "innocent until proven guilty" however a person in this position should be seen as a role model and the fact he was stripped of the captaincy before, he should not have been allowed the captaincy back.
In this upcoming Championship I wouldn't take him. You can't deny his passion and commitment to England but just his very nature and with the trial coming up after the Euros will be unsettling to the squad.

Do you think the FA were right to do this? Would you still take him to the Euro's?

Its been a few days since the match and I aint been on here since Saturday. What did you all make of the match? To the lads/lasses who came up for the match how was your match day experience, I'm aware of how much our cops/stewards are arseholes. Anyone in town before the match?

I thought we were poor, you's played well mind. Tiredness was probably a factor as we came into the game in the second half, I was disappointed we didn't get the winner. If we play like we did at the SOL in the replay it'll be very difficult for us, if we play like we did last night we should win comfortably. Either way its gonna be difficult. I'll go for a tight nervy 0-1, possibly needing extra time to do it.
Some of my questions have probably been answered in the match thread but I couldn't be arsed to trawl through all 30+ pages to be honest :o)

Middlesbrough (5th) VS Crystal Palace (15th)

Welcome one and all to this nPower Championship clash between Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace at the Riverside Stadium.

Recent Form

Middlesbrough
Last 5 all competitions
Away - Leicester 2-2 D
Away - Sunderland 1-1 D (FA Cup)
Away - Coventry 3-1 L
Home - Burnley	0-2 L
Home - Shrewsbury 1-0 W (FA Cup)

Last 5 at home in the nPower Championship
Burnley 0-2 L
Peterborough 1-1 D
Hull 1-0 W
Brighton 1-0 W
West Ham 0-2 L

Crystal Palace
Last 5 all competitions
Home - Brighton 1-1 D
Away - Cardiff 1-0 L (Carling Cup)
Home - Blackpool	2-1 L
Home - Leeds United 1-1 D
Home - Cardiff 1-0 W (Carling Cup)

Last 5 away in the nPower Championship
Blackpool 2-1 L
Millwall 1-0 W
Southampton 0-2 L
Nottingham Forest 1-0 W
Barnsley 2-1 L

So the form books suggest that both teams have faired equally over their last 5 matches, however Palaces away form in the nPower Championship shows they have picked up 6 out of 15 points, whereas Middlesbrough have picked up 7 out of 15 at home. Two teams playing almost identically on the form books, but with 10 positions and 8 points separating them this could go either way, very easily.

The last time these two met in the league was a 1-0 victory to Middlesbrough courtesy of Marvin Emnes, how we would love him to get back in amongst the goals. The last meeting this season however, was in the Carling Cup which saw the Boro sink to a 2-1 defeat away at Selhurst Park.

Talking points

Score Prediction

Should Emnes be dropped?

Who will be our key man?

A congratulations is in order for our 8 Quarter-Finalists - Boro_fanatic, Boroboy1980, Neverbefore, Noddy1989, Stubbzy69, Tellerion, Treknut and UTB - who each successfully defeated a host of predictors to finish in the top 2 of their respective groups. Well done. Your progression to this stage is thoroughly deserved. The tournament will now shift to knock-out one-on-one match-ups to decide who will qualify for the ACON PL Semi-Finals. Predictions must be in by 3pm Saturday February 4th to be included. The rules and prediction fixtures are listed below. I will also be running some friendlies fixtures. If you're interested let me know. But first, who do the 8 remaining predictors now have to overcome? The Quarter-Finals will certainly showcase some interesting fixtures...

Quarter-Final 1: Stubbzy69 (P) vs Tellerion (P).
He's fought fascism. He's fought terrorism. But now Stubbzy faces his greatest challenge of all. Tellerion. After finishing top of his table in the group stages, Stubbzy is set for a tie with the Group B runner-up. Tellerion, a mid-table Division 2 predictor, came into this tournament as an outsider to progress. But after going on an absolute heater in the latter games of the group stage he comes into this tie in great form and full of confidence. High-flying Stubbzy will be hard to overcome though as he currently sits in 2nd position in the top tier. Whatever the result, we're certainly in for an exciting affair with both teams capable of scoring heavily. Let the battle commence, ding ding ding ding ding!

Quarter-Final 2: Boro_fanatic (P) vs Neverbefore (P).
It doesn't come as a surprise to many to see these 2 strong Division 1 predictors progress this far. And these predictors have history. In Round 2 of Welshy's PL, Fanatic and Neverbefore drew 7-7 in their high scoring head-to-head tie. This time round they will be separated though. Perhaps PL veteran Fanatic will fancy his chances given that Neverbefore has declared African football to be one of his weak spots. And Fanatic did in fact outscore Neverbefore in the ACON PL group stage. But with 28 fixtures correctly predicted between them in the previous round, neither can be dismissed. May the best man win.

Quarter-Final 3: Treknut (P) vs UTB (P).
The man, the myth, the legend, Treknut. Did anyone really expect this talented predictor to do anything other then progress to this stage? The simple answer is, no. Miles clear at the top of Division 1, through to Round 2 of the PL Cup and now fighting in the latter stages of the ACON PL. Can he be stopped? The simple answer is, maybe. UTB is the first predictor who will try to do just that. He may be a PL newcomer, but it certainly wasn't beginners luck which saw him through to this stage. After progressing through the Group of Death, UTB will be hoping to defeat his next deadly opponent on his way to securing the inaugural ACON PL title. It won't be easy though. Far from it.

Quarter-Final 4: Noddy1989 (P) vs Boroboy1980 (P).
It's the battle of the 80s which, as we all know, was the best decade to be born. Noddy was the favourite to progress from his group, and he proved that the bookies know what they're talking about. He now has to face the highest scoring predictor in the competition though, Boroboy. He came into this tournament with little to no confidence, or so he says. Was this the work of a tactical genius? Time will tell. But one thing's for certain as this intriguing tie guarantees that we will have at least one Division 2 predictor in the last 4. That's the romance of the ACON PL. But which one will it be? Place your bets now.

Friendly Fixtures.

2plus2 (P) vs Welshy (P).

The Rules.

> Each competitor will collect points by predicting a selection of outcomes for each of the 4 ACON QF matches. Please read this carefully.
(1) The final score. You will earn 1 point for correctly predicting the basic result, and 2 points for correctly predicting the exact scoreline. Both of these outcomes are only relevant for the 90 minutes of match-play (plus stoppages, obviously), so no extra/fewer points can be earned/lost from this specific prediction if the actual ACON match goes to extra-time or penalties.
(2) One goalscorer. You will earn 2 points for a correct prediction. Your chosen goalscorer does not have to be the first goalscorer. You will earn your 2 points if your goalscorer scores in normal time or in extra-time, but you will not earn points if his only goal is in a penalty shoot-out. If your goalscorer scores a normal penalty within the 120 minute match you will however earn the 2 points. You can predict 'no goalscorer', but in order to earn the 2 points the game has to be goalless after 120 mins. You can also predict 'own goal'. You do not need to specify a player to score this own goal. You can only earn a maximum of 2 points from this specific prediction, so if your goalscorer scores more than once you do not earn additional points.
(3) The half-time score. You will earn 2 points for predicting the exact scoreline after 45 mins (plus stoppage).
(4) The potential extra-time victor. You will earn 2 points if you are correct. If the game does not go to extra-time then neither predictor can score points for this specific prediction. All you need to do is predict the winning team. If you wish you may predict a draw for this outcome.
(5) The potential penalty shoot-out victor. You will earn 2 points if you are correct. If the game does not go to penalties then neither predictor can score points for this specific prediction. Again, all you need to do is predict the winning team. This prediction is completely separate from the extra-time victor prediction.
PL Half-Time Scores.

Zambia 3-0 Sudan.
15' Sunzu (1-0), 66' Katongo (2-0), 86' Chamanga (3-0).

Zambia ran out comfortable victors against a far inferior Sudanese side and progress to the ACON Semi-Finals. Sunzu opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a header from close range in a first half that Zambia dominated. If truth be told the crowd was incredibly sparse and the atmosphere fairly tepid, but that didn't stop Sudan from coming out after the break and giving it a real go. Zambia were content to sit back, invite pressure and protect their lead, but despite Sudan's best efforts their build-up play was slow and they lacked a killer edge. After 65 minutes the match was all but over. Sudan's Farah saw red as he clinically took out Kalaba in the box. Up stepped Katongo to take the spot-kick, but his tame shot was well saved by Akram. It didn't matter though as the Sudanese defenders failed to follow up the effort and Katongo was able to slot in the rebound with ease to make it 2-0. Sudan didn't give up, but Zambia always looked more dangerous and so it proved when newly introduced substitute Chamanga superbly curled an effort into the bottom corner from the edge of the box late in the game.

Ivory Coast 3-0 Equatorial Guinea.
36' Drogba (1-0), 69' Drogba (2-0), 81' Yaya Toure (3-0).

The home fans created a real buzz around the stadium, but in the end the class of the Ivory Coast shone through. The vast majority of the pressure came from The Elephants and half an hour in Drogba had the chance to open the scoring from the spot after Zokora had been fouled in the box. The keeper made an excellent save though and, once again, the co-hosts fans went wild. 5 minutes later though Drogba made amends after good control and a well hit strike was drilled into the bottom corner. His second came in the next 45 via a fantastic header from a set-piece, and Yaya Toure completed the rout with a late unstoppable free-kick. Brilliant hit. Few would have tipped Equatorial Guinea to get this far, but their dream is now over and they are out. The favourites to win the Africa Cup Of Nations are through to the next round.

QF1: Stubbzy69 7-8 Tellerion (HT).
Both competitors recorded decent opening scores in the closest Quarter-Final of the 4. It's all to play for going into the second-half as just 1 point separates them. Tellerion has the edge though and will be looking to take advantage of his monumental group stage comeback and book his place in the next round.

QF2: Boro_fanatic 8-6 Neverbefore (HT).
A spectacular late Yaya Toure thunderbolt made the difference in this tie as both predictor's scores were reversed until that piece of genius. Not only did that goal earn Fanatic an extra 2 points, but it also cost Neverbefore an exact scoreline. Ouch. But, as they say, 2-0 is a dangerous lead!

QF3: Treknut 10-8 UTB (HT).
The highest scoring match so far will leave both competitors cursing their bad luck that they weren't drawn a less potent opponent. Treknut maintains his immaculate PL form with the highest QF half-time score, whereas UTB would have been at least level against any other predictor with his impressive 8.

QF4: Noddy1989 6-4 Boroboy1980 (HT).
Another close tie but ultimately a relatively low scoring one. Noddy benefited from a late Chamanga goal who scored as a substitute on this occasion. Again, it was a big turning point in the tie as it also destroyed Boroboy's hopes of an exact scoreline. Big late swings have proved to be the recurring theme in the PL Quarter-Finals so far this year.

International Friendly: England (2plus2) 6-5 Wales (Welshy) (HT).
Another close tie but certainly not a 'friendly' one. Two evenly matched teams had contributed to an intriguing tie, but a bust up between the managers at half-time resulted in both being sent to the stands. With national pride at stake emotions were certainly running high, and will no doubt continue to do so.

So, you could predict a team to be victorious in extra-time and be wrong, yet still earn the 2 points for correctly predicting the penalty shoot-out victor.

> If 2 predictors are tied on points, then the victorious predictor will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.
(1) Goal difference. The total number of goals predicted by each competitor for the four 90 minute exact scoreline predictions will be added up, and the predictor with the closest total will progress. Extra-time and penalty shoot-out goals will not factor in to the equation.
(2) If predictors are still tied then the competitor who predicted the greater number of 90 minute exact scorelines will progress.

> If predictors still cannot be seperated, the tie will go to a sudden death penalty shoot-out. The competitor to progress will be decided by all the same factors as above in the same order of importance, but they will only be relevant for the first ACON knock-out fixture. So, (1) total points scored in fixture 1, (2) goal difference in fixture 1, and (3) exact scorelines in fixture 1. If need be the same will be done for the
second fixture, or even then the third or fourth, although it is highly unlikely that this system will be necessary.

Quick question to any Pride scheme members out there....do you receive £2 off the ticket price for the cup game against Sunderland?

I paid for my Pride membership the other day, but it seems to have no bearing on getting any discount for any tickets I've tried....and no option to select 'pride membership' or anything like that?

I didn't fill out a form but have bought tickets online before so just paid £10 to purchase the pride membership online.

Any help?
