Season Preview - Birmingham City

Harry Redknapp will be looking to push his Birmingham City team this season to one that can finish in the top half of the table.

The experienced manager took over at Birmingham City in April 2017 with The Blues 20th in the Championship and three points above the relegation zone.

Redknapp claims that he can buy six players in the summer transfer window, with the money saved by not signing John Terry.

Birmingham City have already signed three players, with centre-back Marc Roberts joining from Barnsley, Craig Gardner from West Bromwich Albion and keeper David Stockdale joining on a free from Brighton.

We spoke to John from BCFC forum about the upcoming season.

When asked what his thoughts were coming into the new season, he said "looking forward to it for a change, expect much better this year."

It's deemed that the club should be pushing for promotion this season, rather than battling at the wrong end of the table. "Hopefully we'll finish in the playoffs, but certainly top 10 as a minimum."

Finally, the key fixture in which Birmingham fans are looking forward to the most is... "Easy one that."
