Lewis Wing’s future at Middlesbrough uncertain
Lewis Wing may have to permanently leave Middlesbrough this summer after being sent on loan to Rotherham United.
The future of midfielder Lewis Wing at Middlesbrough remains uncertain according to reports.
Wing had to leave the club for fellow-Championship side Rotherham United in the January transfer window for regular playing time after being frozen out of Neil Warnock's starting line-up.
Wing has so far made nine appearances for Rotherham United and contributed just one assist. It isn't easy to see him getting back into Boro's starting line-up for next season when he returns from his loan spell this Summer.
Despite that, he had an excellent impact in the Middlesbrough team last season, making 40 appearances and scoring seven goals.
He has fallen behind George Saville, Paddy McNair, Jonny Howson, and Sam Morsy in the pecking order.
