Atlanta United Pursue Benfica Forward as Latte Lath Transfer Stalls
Atlanta United are targeting Arthur Cabral from Benfica as Emmanuel Latte Lath's move from Middlesbrough has encountered delays.
As reported by Give Me Sport, Atlanta United are have submitted an offer of approximately $18 million for Arthur Cabral. The move for the forward, currently plying Benfica, would set a new record for the highest fee paid in Major League Soccer (MLS).
Emmanuel Latte Lath's £20m move from Middlesbrough seemed imminent, however, Give Me Sport claim that it has encountered some delays due to minor contractual details. As a result, Arthur Cabral has become their primary target.

Latte Lath's future at Middlesbrough FC remains unclear, however, as the January transfer window progresses Boro will only sign a replacement striker if Latte Lath does leave the club.
