Belief Is Key For Liverpool Game
Gareth Southgate states that belief is the biggest factor when facing a top 4 club like Liverpool.
Southgate saw his Boro team loose 3-2 at Anfield last season but believes it is a building block to get atleast a point this time around.
Speaking to mfc.co.uk he said, "Belief's the biggest thing for me when you're going to Anfield. We've got to be very strong and well organised defensively. But we know we can break very quickly on teams so we're looking forward to the challenge."
"When you go to Liverpool you know the threats of Torres and Gerrard in particularly and you've got to keep them quiet," said Southgate.
"The Spurs game has given everyone reassurance that we did the right things in pre-season and that they're fit and strong.
"The players got a lift from the fact that it was a virtual sellout and to be able to send them home on the back of a performance and result that we got was a really good feeling.
"When you go to the bigger grounds you want to go there in good form and good spirit and we do that.
"It's a game where we won't be expected outside of Teesside to get too much but I don't think we were favourites at home to Spurs.

We've got terrific work ethic and a high energy team and we believe we can go there and win.
