Boro Battered By West Brom
Boro lost 3-0 to West Brom, making it 10 games without a win in the Premier League.
Boro started the game with Stewart Downing as captain.
Emanuel Pogatetz missed the clash with a hamstring injury with Andrew Taylor replacing him.
Shawky started in place for injured Josh Walker. Gary O'Neil replaced Julio Arca in midfield.
Boro went 1-0 down after only 4 minutes. Tony McMahon headed a clearance straight to Chris Brunt, who shot across the goal which deflected in off McMahon.
Alves missed a chance to make it level, after heading from 7 yards out against the bar.
Koren shot low from the edge of the D and with a deflection from Marc-Antoine Fortuné wrong footing Ross Turnbull, West Brom were 2-0 up after 53 minutes.
The day got worse for Boro as Didier Digard was sent off. The French midfielder made an attempt to win the ball but was judged to have jumped in with both feet.
