Boro Beat Swansea

Boro won their first away game of the Championship season 3-0 at Swansea.

Leroy Lita made his full Boro debut, replacing Aliadiere in the starting line up. Gary O'Neil started alongside Rhys Williams in midfield.

Boro's first goal of the Championship season came through Adam Johnson. After 32 minutes, Emnes found Johnson on the left wing, who cut inside and fired a low ball into the box. The ball took a slight deflection off Gary Monk into the bottom corner of the net.

The second goal for Middlesbrough FC came courtesy of Marvin Emnes. After picking up the ball in the centre of the field, he fired an unstoppable shot into the top right of the goal.

Tuncay came of the bench to the delight of the travelling Boro fans. After scoring in midweek for Turkey he made it 3 for Boro. Johnson crossed in the ball from the right wing into the box where Tuncay headed in from seven yards.

New keeper Danny Coyne kept Boro's second clean sheet of this campaign.
