Boro Complete Digard Transfer

Middlesbrough FC have completed the signing of Didier Digard for a fee of £4 million.

This brings Boro's spending fee to just over £7 million in 24 hours after signing Marvin Emnes this morning.

As oneBoro.co.uk brought you the news over the complications of the transfer it seems all is well as the player has completed a medical and agreed personal terms.

Gareth Southgate said: "I'm very pleased that we've been able to bring Didier into the club.

"As with Emnes, he is another exciting young talent who fits the profile of young, hungry and ambitious players that we want here.

"Didier has played for France at every level up to under-21 and will really add to the competitive nature of our squad. He is a holding midfielder, who is a good athlete and a strong tackler."

"We've had our eye on him for quite a long time as we had looked at him and been impressed when watching him play for Paris St Germain and for the French national sides."

Both Emnes and Digard are set to join in on the 1st day back training on Monday.
