Boro Complete Permanent Signing of George Edmundson from Ipswich Town
Middlesbrough Football Club have completed the permanent signing of defender George Edmundson from Ipswich Town.
As reported by The Northern Echo, the centre-back has committed to a two-and-a-half-year contract at the Riverside Stadium, following a successful loan spell earlier in the season.
This signing is a notable boost for Boro, who have also recently secured the services of Ryan Giles and Morgan Whittaker.
Edmundson's initial spell at Middlesbrough was deemed a success, with the defender making 21 appearances during the first half of the season.
However, he was recalled by Ipswich Town earlier this week, raising doubts about his immediate future. Although negotiations between the two clubs initially appeared to stall, discussions resumed and ultimately led to a successful agreement later in the week.
After undergoing a medical on Friday, the club confirmed Edmundson's signing this morning.

Despite recently losing his starting position to Rav van den Berg and Dael Fry, Edmundson has remained an integral part of the squad, continuing to be preferred over Matt Clarke in defence.
