Boro Draw With Celtic
Marvin Emnes featured in the first half, as Boro drew with Celtic FC 1 - 1.
Emnes, on his Boro debut, was the star of the show and seems to have made the right wing his own. His first touch was perfect and troubled the Celtic defence through out the first half.
The break through came in the second half, when Aliadiere chased a loose ball played back to the Celtic keeper. All the keeper could do was kick the ball against Aliadiere and the ball dribbled accross the line. (Watch out for this on Goal Keeping Nightmares!)
Celtic equalised in the 92nd minute. A corner kick was played into the box and all Ross Turbull could do was punch the ball to the edge of the box. The ball was played back in, and fell nicely to Vennegoor of Hesselink who placed the ball into the bottom corner.

Gareth Southgate can take a lot from the performance, in which Boro looked the stronger team through-out.
