Boro face Norwich City challenge for Burnley defender
Middlesbrough could face a stiff challenge from Norwich City in the race to sign Burnley defender Ben Gibson.
Ben Gibson has endured a torrid spell at Turf Moor following his record move to the club from Boro in 2018. He has been unable to displace the established pair of James Tarkowski and Ben Mee in defence.
It is thought that the 27-year-old is keen on leaving in the summer transfer window as he seeks to rejuvenate his career. Boro are interested in his services and have approached Burnley regarding a loan deal.
It is also believed that Norwich City have also made inquiries regarding his services. The Yellows are looking to bounce back to the Premier League following relegation last season and have identified Gibson as a solid addition to the defence.
A fee for Gibson could be to steep for Boro, with Burnley proposing a deal that would see defender Dael Fry swap clubs.
