Boro interested in late swoop for Livingston forward
Middlesbrough are interested in Livingston forward Lyndon Dykes.
Reports from Scotland reveal that Boro have inquired about the forward as they eye a late move for the player.
Dykes has been impressive for the Scottish side this season netting eight goals in 18 appearances in the league. His form has seen other clubs take notice south of the border with Boro keen on the forward.
However, Dykes appears to be the latest player in the cycle. Dykes is the cheapest option among the trio and Boro are considering a late swoop for the forward.
The 24-year-old is a target man capable of playing with his back to goal and is also efficient in front of goal. The Australian striker favours a move to England and talks could happen in the next 48 hours.
With uncertainty regarding the future of Britt Assombalonga, Dyke could be an ideal replacement for the DR Congo international.
The next 24 hours should bring major developments regarding the January transfer window.
- Can Middlesbrough afford another Summer of inactivity
- Boro unlikely to sell Newcastle United target in summer
Boro have enjoyed a positive start to the year losing just once in their last five matches in the league.
