Boro suffer transfer blow for Wigan forward
Middlesbrough could be set to miss out on a key summer target, according to reports from Wales.
Moore netted 10 times in the Championship for Wigan Athletic, who were relegated to League One following a 12 point deduction for going into administration, leading to speculation that he could be on his way out of the DW Stadium in the summer transfer window.
Several clubs have been linked with Moore, with the likes of Stoke City, Cardiff City, Derby County, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall all in the mix for his signature. However, Wales Online recently reported that the player favours a move to Cardiff.
Cardiff had a bid in the region of £2.3 million rejected in January, however, the Welsh-based outfit are quietly confident of securing a deal this time around.
It is understood that the 27-year-old is eager to make the Wales squad for the Euros in 2021 and believes that he can stay in the limelight if he moves to a club based in Wales.
