Boro target new goalkeeper as Dejan Stojanovic wants out
Middlesbrough will now have to look for a new goalkeeper who will challenge the number one jersey with Joe Lumley, who signed for the club earlier in the transfer window.
Middlesbrough goalkeeper Dejan Stojanovic has told the club he wants to leave.
This has prompted Neil Warnock to start his search for a new goalkeeper that will challenge the number one spot with Joe Lumley, who recently joined on a free summer transfer from QPR.
Stojanovic couldn't play more than one match for Boro last season and had to be sent out on an emergency loan to German Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli where he played 19 matches.
Although he is yet to receive interest from any club, he has decided to leave the Riverside Stadium.
Neil Warnock said, "He wants to leave the club, but we don't have any offers for him at the moment."
"He's made it clear he wants to leave. So we're looking for another goalkeeper as well."
"But hopefully, they fit in together, and one leaves and one comes."
With Jordan Archer leaving the club at the end of last season, Boro need a new goalkeeper.

Boro need a new goalkeeper that can compete with Lumley, so the aim now is to get Stojanovic out and sign a new goalkeeper quickly.
