Boro withdraw interest in free agent 30 goal striker
Middlesbrough have been linked with Sunderland forward Charlie Wyke for a while, but reports have it that they are unlikely to sign him.
According to reports Boro have withdrawn their interest in signing Charlie Wyke despite being a free agent, as his current deal at Sunderland expires at the end of this month.
This has left clubs like Millwall, Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City, and Swansea City with the chance to secure the signing of the 28-year-old who scored 30 goals and provided 5 assists in all competitions last season.
Middlesbrough have decided not to continue their pursuit for the forward despite desperately needing strikers after allowing Ashley Fletcher and Britt Assombalonga to leave as free agents.
Neil Warnock now has Chuba Akpom as the only striker in the team, and it has also been reported that there is a possibility that the former Arsenal man will leave the club this summer.
