Bristol City set to release Boro target
Middlesbrough almost signed Famara Diedhiou in the January transfer window, but they couldn't seal a move for him. It appears that they will get to sign him this summer.
Diedhiou is reported to be among 11 players that Bristol City will release this summer.
Diedhiou signed for the Robins four years ago and has been an important part of the squad.
The 28-year-old played 40 Championship matches this season, scoring eight times and providing one assist. His contract will expire this summer, and it looks like he will not sign a new deal to remain at the club in the transfer window.
Diedhiou was dropped for Bristol City's final game of the season against Brentford, the third successive game he had been dropped for.
Middlesbrough are not the only club interested in the Senegalese international, but they appear to be the most serious about him, considering their pressing need for strikers.

Diedhiou will be a good replacement for Britt Assombalonga, who has been released from Boro. If Warnock can get him to sign for his side, he will be an excellent addition, considering that he is a free agent.
