Cardiff City closing in on Middlesbrough target
Cardiff City have won the race for Middlesbrough target Kieffer Moore according to reports.
Kieffer Moore had been the subject of a transfer tussle between Boro and Cardiff City in recent days following news that Wigan had accepted a £2 million bid for the player.
It is understood that Cardiff City have reached advanced talks with the Wales international and a deal is to be wrapped up this week. The Welsh outfit are ready to schedule a medical for the forward on Thursday and are hopeful of concluding the deal in the summer transfer window.
Moore has enjoyed a successful campaign for the Latics, netting 10 times in the Championship.
Boro boss Neil Warnock is reported to be a fan of the player and had made a last ditch move for the striker in recent days. However, the lure of returning to Wales seems to have prevailed with some reports claiming that the forward was eager to be closer to home as he hopes to make the Euro 2021 squad.
Middlesbrough will have to search elsewhere as they look to solve their deep-rooted problems in attack.

Boro were among the lowest scorers in the Championship last season and Warnock is well aware that the club needs reinforcement this summer if they are to stand any chance of a promotion push next season.
