Emnes and Digard Interview
Marvin Emnes and Didier Digard were unveiled as Boro players today.
Didier Digard revealed he turned down rival clubs including Newcastle and Portsmouth to join Boro.
"I am very pleased to be joining Middlesbrough because it is a project that is totally different to Paris St Germain," the french star said. "I know you are trying to build something here."
"Gareth Southgate was a big influence on my decision to come to Middlesbrough. I had the opportunity to go to other clubs - including Monaco, Newcastle United and Portsmouth - but I was very impressed by Gareth.

"I know he has a great relationship with the players and it was clear he knew exactly what he wanted to do with the club. He convinced me this was the club for me."
"I know that the challenge is to get in the top seven or eight places in the Premier League and to have the chance of get into fifth place and qualify for the UEFA Cup. That is what I want to help Middlesbrough do."
Marvin Emnes couldn't turn down the opportunity to join the Premier League.
"This is a beautiful club. I was told they have a good future for young players - they build on the future.
"They give the youth a lot of chances to play, which gives me a chance to get more experience.

The chance to play in the Premier League is not a chance you encounter every day, so this was a chance I just needed to take.
