Middlesbrough are lining up a bid for Sparta Rotterdam star Marvin Emnes.

Two newspapers in the Netherlands state Sparta Rotterdam are negotiating with Middlesbrough over the transfer fee.

Emnes scored twice in three games for the U20 national side and is set to move to England.

Emnes' agent said “If you had the chance to go to the Premier League, wouldn’t you be tempted by that?”
