Fee agreed for Ben Gibson, misses out on Millwall game
Ben Gibson has not been named in Boro's squad for their trip to The Den this afternoon.
Burnley are said to have submitted a third bid in the region of £15m, with negotiations continuing between The Clarets and Ben Gibson.
The Boro captain has not been named in the squad who take on Millwall in their Championship opener, which sees new signing Aden Flint start alongside Dael Fry. Martin Braithwaite returns to the Boro side, following his loan spell at Bordeaux last season.
Tony Pulis confirmed in his press conference on Friday ahead of the Millwall game that Dyche had called him to discuss the centre-half. He said "Ben has time to think about it, he could turn around and say ‘no I want to stay’, which would be fantastic."
"If Ben gets opportunity – and I’m not sure where the negotiations are – he seriously has to think about it. I’m talking about Ben as person."

What we’ve got to do is respect it and make sure we’re clever enough, organised enough and well set to invest money in players who can come and do a similar job or even better.
