Hull City v Middlesbrough - Warnock seeking crucial victory

Boro travel to the KCOM Stadium on Thursday to face Hull City in a relegation six-pointer.

Just two points separate the club's from the relegation spots and a win would be crucial for both teams. Middlesbrough enjoyed a 2-0 win at Stoke City last time out with manager Neil Warnock starting his reign with a win.

Hull City meanwhile ended a losing streak with a 3-3 draw at Birmingham City on Saturday.

Boro boss Neil Warnock has changed the club's style of play within his short time in charge, which was evident in last week's display.

Although Boro were outplayed for most parts of the game, they remained compact and refused to cave in, whilst taking their chances in front of goal.

Warnock will be hoping to make it two wins from two against a direct relegation rival.

There is a growing belief within the club since his appointment, and Boro fans will be confident of a positive result on Thursday night.

Warnock is not caught up with the initial euphoria and recently warned the team that there is still a lot of work ahead with games coming thick and fast.

He will be hopeful that forward Ashley Fletcher can build on his goal last week and that the defence can continue with an improved performance.
