Middlesbrough join race for PSG starlet

Middlesbrough are reportedly in the race for PSG starlet Loic Mbe Soh according to French media.

The 19-year-old is regarded as the next best thing at the PSG and is the captain of the B side. He also captained France to the last U20 World Cup and has made a handful of appearances for PSG in Cup competitions. However, there are indications that the player could leave the French giants in the summer.

L'Equipe claims that PSG are considering selling the defender in the summer transfer window and several clubs have indicated an interest in his signature, including Middlesbrough.

Boro are thought to be keen on the youngster as the club looks to rebuild ahead of next season. The report also mentions Norwich City as one of the clubs in the race for Loic Mbe Soh.

Norwich City suffered relegation from the top flight and are looking to bounce back immediately. Mbe Soh is considered as a player with potential to develop into a top-class star.

PSG are not expected to demand a large transfer fee, but will place a buyback clause in his contract.

Mbe Soh would be a good signing for Boro and one in which the club will do well to sign the 19-year-old. Manager Neil Warnock has spoken of his intentions to solidify the defence and he has the ability to mould Mbe Soh into a capable defender.

Middlesbrough have already made a move in the transfer window, signing Grant Hall from QPR.
