Middlesbrough linked with a move for pacy winger

Boro have been linked with a summer transfer move for Toulouse winger Wesley Said.

French tabloid Les Violets claims that Boro are interested in signing the pacy winger whose future is currently uncertain.

The 25-year-old was a key part of the Toulouse team in the concluded French League campaign, netting two goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances.

It is understood that Boro have enquired about the services of Wesley Said as they look to strengthen in the summer transfer window.

Boro are in real danger of dropping to League One, with the club currently one point adrift of safety with five games remaining. However, there is a strong hope that the club will pull through and retain their status in the Championship.

Said is a pacy winger with the ability to beat opposing defenders and can make an impact for Boro.

Boro have struggled in front of goal all season which is largely the cause for their precarious position in the table. They have only scored 40 goals in 41 league games this season.

With manager Neil Warnock calling for restructuring at the end of the season, Said could be one of the new faces at the club next season.
