Middlesbrough make loan move for Chelsea defender
According to reports, Boro have made a loan enquiry for Chelsea defender Baba Rahman.
The left footed defender made a move from Bundesliga outfit Augsburg in 2015 for £14 million to Stamford Bridge, making a total of 15 first-team appearances in the Premier League for the Blues.
However, he has since been sent on loan on four different occasions to Mallorca, Reims and to Schalke on two occasions.
Baba Rahman is looking for more playing time as he works on securing another temporary move away from Stamford Bridge, but he may have to drop to the Championship to gain first-team action.
Watford have also been credited with a move for the defender, as they look to bolster their defence ahead of the summer transfer deadline.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian international boasts a lot of experience but has been training with the Chelsea Under 23s and has been told that he has no part to play in Frank Lampard's team.
He has found himself further down the pecking order with the latest arrival of defender Ben Chilwell. Marcus Alonso, Emerson, Reece James and César Azpilicueta have been used on the left side of defence more recently and are thought to be ahead of him at Stamford Bridge.

Boro currently have Marvin Johnson, Hayden Coulson and Marc Bola at their disposal and Rahman would likely slot in as a first choice defender if he were to arrive on loan at the Riverside.
