Middlesbrough unlikely to sign Sunderland youngster
The number of Sunderland players Middlesbrough have been linked to is growing by the day, and they have now been linked to the 22-year-old left-back.
Middlesbrough are interested in signing Denver Hume from Sunderland, but reports claim that the Black Cats want the left-back to remain at the club.
The 22-year-old played 26 games in all competitions last season, scoring 2 goals and providing three assists. However, with his current deal set to expire this summer, he has been attracting interest from a series of clubs.
Boro are reported to be one of those clubs keen on signing him.
Reports coming from Sunderland have stated that the club's manager, Lee Johnson, has big plans for the defender, and it means Middlesbrough may not have a chance to continue their pursuit.

Hume is likely to be interested in playing in the Championship after Sunderland failed to secure promotion. Boro could use this to convince him to sign for them on a free transfer.
