Middlesbrough v Leeds United: Match Preview
Boro host Leeds United on Wednesday evening in a crucial Championship game as they look to return back to winning ways.
Boro have been poor in recent weeks, losing their last two matches to relegation candidates Barnsley and Luton Town.
However, they face a Leeds side that are on the cusp of Promotion and Boro manager Jonathan Woodgate will be hoping for a big performance from his players.
Leeds, meanwhile, are hopeful that goalkeeper Kiko Casilla will be fit to play.
Leeds come into the game after a victory at home to Reading last week and are favourites to win at the Riverside Stadium.
Boro's form has been patchy, but before their defeat to Luton Town, they had been unbeaten in eight matches at home. They will need to be patient and compact against a Leeds side who love to dominate the ball.
Both teams met earlier in the season with Leeds outclassing their opponents in a 4-0 victory. Woodgate will be expected to adopt a cautious approach and could play five at the back.
- Middlesbrough interested in Bristol City forward
- Neil Warnock delighted to have Duncan Watmore on board
Boro will be encouraged by the recent away form of Leeds, with their visitors yet to win in their last four away matches.
