Middlesbrough will not target Sheffield Wednesday linked Championship forward
The future of Stoke City forward Lee Gregory remains unknown as his current deal at the bet365 Stadium concludes.
Middlesbrough have been linked with Lee Gregory throughout transfer window, however, according to reports he is not a transfer target for Middlesbrough, and Neil Warnock is not keen on signing the 32-year-old this summer.
This leaves Sheffield Wednesday as the only side still interested in signing the forward.
Gregory was on loan at Derby County for a part of last season, where he scored three goals and assisted once in 11 Championship matches.
Stoke City are not ready to offer him a new deal as they look to free up their wage bill. A move away from the Potters seems to be the case for him and he needs to find a new club where he will get regular playing time.
