Middlesbrough youngster set for loan spell in Holland
Middlesbrough are set to recall young defender Sam Stubbs from Scottish outfit Hamilton according to reports from Scotland.
The Daily Record claims that Hamilton are resigned to losing the defender as Middlesbrough have informed the club of their intention to recall the player.
It is understood that the 21-year-old will be loaned to Dutch side ADO Den Haag. Den Haag recently appointed former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew as manager this month, and the English man is interested in Stubbs.
Boro view the transfer as a win-win situation for the club as Stubbs would be exposed to top-flight football in Holland and the club can recoup more of his wages. Stubbs has been impressive for Hamilton in the first half of the season.
Stubbs is viewed as one for the future, with Woodgate monitoring his progress ahead of next season.
A move to Holland would be good for his development as part of Alan Pardew's team.
