Neil Warnock refuses to rule out signing former Cardiff City defender
Sol Bamba is currently training with the club, and his future remains uncertain. Neil Warnock has provided an update when questioned about the possibility of signing Bamba.
Sol Bamba is currently at Middlesbrough training to gain some fitness, and there have been reports that the club may end up signing him as a backup to help the club's defence. However, nothing is concrete at the moment.
Neil Warnock gave Bamba some minutes in Middlesbrough's 2-1 loss to York City in their latest pre-season match, giving him the chance to get some run of games.
The 72-year-old has, however, refused to be certain concerning the future of the former Cardiff City defender, stating that he is sure he will get a contract somewhere if he stays fit.
"He enjoys his football, and that's the way he's always been," Warnock said.
"I'm sure he'll get a contract somewhere with the fitness he's shown. I asked him if he wanted half an hour at York, and he said he'd love to."
"He knows I'll look after him, and he's been great for me over the years."
"You only have to look at the size of our squad; it's really small."

Warnock will continue to monitor him in training to see if he can add something tangible to Middlesbrough's squad.
