Newcastle ready to make big money move for Boro defender
Middlesbrough defender Hayden Coulson is reportedly a summer target for Premier League side Newcastle United.
The Sun claims that Newcastle United boss, Steve Bruce, has identified Coulson as an ideal transfer target ahead of the summer.
It is understood that the Magpies have sent scouts to watch the player as they look to swoop for the highly rated youngster.
Coulson has enjoyed an impressive debut season for Boro following his promotion from the youth ranks.
His displays in the left-back position over the course of the season has been impressive. His good form ensured that Boro offered him a new deal to keep him at the Riverside Stadium for the nearest future.
However, their resolve could be tested as Newcastle United are preparing a transfer bid of £10 million for the defender.
The left-back position is uncertain at Newcastle with current starter Danny Rose on loan from Tottenham.
