Nuttall Appointed As Fitness Coach
Gareth Southgate has appointed Frank Nuttall as the new Fitness Coach. Having worked for Glasgow Rangers and the FA he will join a new team based at Rockliffe Park.
The appointment comes to aim to improve the injury record that Boro suffer from, having lost the likes of Robert Huth, Mido, Andrew Taylor and Julio Arca for much of the season.
"We've appointed a new fitness coach, Frank Nuttall, who has been doing a lot of quality work with the FA and Glasgow Rangers in the past," said the Boro boss.
"He's head of physical development while Nick Allamby has moved across to conditioning coach and that means medically and fitness wise, all bases are covered.
"Chris Barnes will continue as the head of Sports Science but he will spend a lot more time monitoring the players' performances and fitness testing."

I think this is the way the game is going. One of the problems we had last year is that we didn't get players on the pitch regularly enough and I think the way we want to work with the team this year will benefit us.
