Premier League club lining up move for Boro winger
Brighton and Hove Albion are lining up a move for the Boro winger in the Summer transfer window.
Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion have been linked with Boro's Marcus Tavernier.
In a report by 90min, the Seagulls have Tavernier high on their transfer agenda for the summer transfer window and are planning a move to sign him regardless of what division they are in next season.
Brighton had been linked with a move for Tavernier in May, with Watford, Crystal Palace and Burnley all said to be interested in the England Under-20 international.
The 21-year-old signed a long-term contract with Boro earlier in the season and has enjoyed a good spell in the team, making 32 appearances for Boro this campaign.
Upon signing his contract extension, Woodgate claimed that the winger was an essential part of the team.
"He was a player I was keen to get tied up as soon as we could because of what he brings to the team. People can see now what he's all about," Woodgate said.
