Pulis explains Gibson and Traore departures

Tony Pulis discusses the departures of Ben Gibson and Adama Traore.

Pulis said, "Ben Gibson, for a start, he was an absolute dream to work with, he was a wonderful, wonderful pro and I wish him all the best at Burnley"

"I had a good chat with Gibbo yesterday and a good chat with Adama today and I hope they are both successful."

He went on to say that "Adama was my best buddy so to lose him is really difficult. When I came to the football club he looked a little bit sullen, he didn’t have any confidence and in the end he played with a smile on his face and he certainly excited a lot of people at this football club and I hope the supporters understand both players in respect of their decisions to play in the Premier League."

"Yes, you could say they could stay here and get us in the Premier League and then play there but that’s not the way the world works, so I wish the two of them all the best."

We did offer Adama a contract and a very, very good contract but he wants to stretch himself. Listen, everybody wants to fulfil their own potential and to play at the top level.
