Ryan Giles set for Boro medical
Middlesbrough FC are closing in on the re-signing of left-back Ryan Giles from Hull City, having been granted clearance to hold a medical.
According to BBC Humberside, Ryan Giles has been given clearance to hold a medical with Boro, ahead of his January transfer window move.
Giles previously enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Middlesbrough during the 2022/23 season, where he made a notable impact by providing 12 assists and playing a key role in the team’s journey to the Championship play-offs.
Teesside Live reports that following the successful campaign with Boro, he opted to join newly-promoted Luton Town, a decision that ultimately did not yield the anticipated results, leading him to spend the past year with Hull City.
As Michael Carrick seek to strengthen the Boro squad this January, the club has rekindled its interest in Giles, particularly after initial negotiations fell through over the summer. The Boro manage has maintained a strong interest in the player, who is believed to be eager to return to the Riverside Stadium.
