Sheffield Wednesday complete loan move for Middlesbrough midfielder
Middlesbrough will be without Lewis Wing next season after sanctioning a loan move to Sheffield Wednesday. He will most likely run down his current contract with one year remaining on his deal.
After allowing Lewis Wing to sign for Rotherham United in the second half of last season, it was clear that his days at the Riverside Stadium were numbered.
The 26-year-old proved to be a good signing for the Millers before the end of last season, although he couldn't stop them from being relegated to League One.
Rotherham were trying to sign him on a permanent deal after his short spell, but Wing has now opted for Sheffield Wednesday, a side who were also relegated from the Championship last season.

It appears Boro see Wing as surplus to requirements, and this may open the door for new signings to come in.
