Smallwood Given First Professional Contract
Youngster Richard Smallwood has signed a 3 year professional deal with Middlesbrough FC.
Guisborough-born Smallwood has been given a three-year deal with the club after impressing at youth and reserve level.
Smallwood impressed in the reserve team last season and made his international debut for England U18 against Autria.
Academy manager Dave Parnaby said, "It is a wonderful achievement for Richie. He is a smashing lad who has worked hard to get to where he is now."

It's an encouraging start to Richard's career. He is a clever player and has the potential to go far in the game but the hard work starts now.
