Villa On The Verge Of Signing Downing
Middlesbrough FC have accepted a bid from Aston Villa for Stewart Downing.
Aston Villa have matched Boro's £12 million asking price for the English winger.
Downing was at Aston Villa's training ground today to discuss personal terms, with the move to be finalised tomorrow.
Tottenham and Everton have also been linked Downing through the summer, however neither placed an acceptable offer for the 24-year-old.
Rumours over the past week have also linked Tuncay Sanli with a move to Villa, in a £20 million joint move.
Tuncay has also caught the eye of officials at Fulham and Everton.
