Yannick Bolasie sends message to Middlesbrough fans

Yannick Bolasie signed for Middlesbrough on loan from Everton at the end of the January transfer window, and he is now set to return to his parent club.

Middlesbrough finished 10th in the Championship table after losing 3-0 to relegated side Wycombe Wanderers in their final game of the season. The match was Yannick Bolasie's last game with Boro as an on-loan player from Premier League side Everton, and he has sent a message to the Middlesbrough fans.

The 31-year-old took to social media to show his disappointment about how the season ended for the club.

Bolasie wrote, "Not the way I or the team wanted to end the season, but I hope you've been entertained."

"Just know I left it all out on the pitch and hopefully put some smiles on some faces since I came through the door. #UTB"

There has been speculation over the future of the Congolese international, considering that his current deal at Everton will end this summer.

Middlesbrough would like him to sign for the club on a permanent deal, but his wage demand has been the barrier so far.

Ideally, Middlesbrough would be a perfect place for Bolasie, but he has so many options to choose from. If he ends up signing for Boro on a permanent deal, it will be a massive boost for the charge towards promotion next campaign.
