Yeates Completes Boro Move
Middlesbrough FC have completed the signing of Mark Yeates from Colchester United.
Yeates scored 13 goals in the Championship last season, something that has attracted the eye of Boro boss Gareth Southgate.
"This is massive for me," Yeates told MFC the club's official website. "There was interest from other clubs but there was only one thing in my mind once my agent had told me Middlesbrough had been in touch."
"This club belongs in the Premier League, the fans deserve to be there and I can't wait to play in front of them."
"I want to hit the ground running when the new season starts. It would be fantastic for me to get back into the Premier League and that's what the gaffer wants to do, that will be the aim this season."
The Irishman, who cost £500,000 rising to £750,000, was top scorer for Colchester last season.

Colin Cooper said, “It’s not a big, statement signing, it’s what I call a “little gem” of a signing. That’s the sort of signing we need and we’ll need more to come.”
