Upcoming fixtures and odds of success

November 30th, 2018

Middlesbrough continue to challenge at the top of the championship and remain at around 5/1 to finish as league winners. With the Championship being such a tight and compelling league, bookmakers are offering a number of markets on individual games, as well as outrights too. Different bookies are incentivising players in different ways – bet365 for example, are offering bet credits, whilst William Hill are offering a 250% bonus. With Boro playing well and continuing to challenge, punters have been making use of these bookmakers offers & betting sites available to support them in their quest for promotion.

If they can continue with their strong back line, then they are going to have a fantastic chance of landing the odds and gaining promotion back into the premier league. Here we cover the upcoming fixtures and odds of success in these games.

Middlesbrough v Blackburn – Championship

Boro go in to the fixture as the general 4/6 favourites, with Blackburn at 9/2 and the draw at 11/4. Blackburn are just below mid table at present but are arriving in poor form having really struggled to pick up points recently. Boro on the other hand go from strength to strength and will be hoping to finish Christmas in similar form. However, when you look at the recent results between the two sides, it is Blackburn who have the upper hand. They have won two of the last six futures, with the other four ending in a draw. This means Boro are looking for their first victory over Blackburn since December 2012.

QPR V Middlesbrough – Championship

Following this Boro face an away trip to QPR, who have been on a resurgent run following their very poor start to the season. They are now themselves pushing up the table and could they yet be one of the surprise packages in to make the play offs? This is a very tough game to call with both in flying form so sets up for a fascinating contest at Loftus Road. Boro have won the last four times the sides have met including a 3-0 victory at the start of the year.

Middlesbrough v Burton – Football League Cup: Quarter-final

Boro then face off against Burton in the Quarter finals of the Football league cup, which gives them a fantastic opportunity of progressing through. They are around 4/11 to do so, which is a fair reflection of their chances. Burton are currently sitting at the bottom of league one, and have been on an incredible run to reach this stage of the competition. They are however in poor form at present, so this will be seen as a major disappointment were Boro to fail to defeat them at home. Boro are also around 25/1 to go on and lift the title itself.
