  3. Great work by everybody involved and well done to Humpty, well deserved. If you want to interview Callum Cooke I can have a word with him and get him to clear it with the club. Hopefully he will get some 1st team appearances this season. Top lad as is his dad and are very helpful. Keep up the good work, if there is anything I can do then just ask.

I absolutely detest our current badge, it hurts my eyes so this is exciting but slso worrying. If we go for an older badge slightly modernised (like some of the suggestions here) it could be awesome and I'll love it. If we go further down the faux-heritage design-free clip art style of current badge it could get even worse.  Rebranding is a costly business, make this new one good and then keep it is my advice.  Even the lion by itself with just 'MFC" could look classy. That would obviously depend on the kit design although the standard of which can only go upwards from this season.  Fingers crossed we use this opportunity to transition from tacky to classy. From small town a mate of marketing dept's child just got corel-draw and will do our stuff for free style to global brand gravitas and that also for me means owning the white chest band on the home shirt. Brand recognition is incredibly valuable and we already have something to hang our hat on.  There are endless designs for a red shirt with a white chest band, lots of teams work in much tighter confines design wise, is it too much to dream ..? Someone on FMTTM saying Carrick has signed a new 3 year contract. Good news if true. Anyone heard anything?

The Transporter Bridge is the symbol of Teesside for me. That and Roseberry Topping, but that's not even technically within the boundaries of Teesside.

Who cares what other people think about the Transporter Bridge? I want our badge to represent us, not remind people of us. If it were the other way around, we'd weave Jeff Stelling's rant into the badge and he's not even a Boro fan. 😄 The Transporter Bridge is a talismanic piece of construction of our own making that sits perfectly within the region of the Riverside and the immediate surrounding area. Whether it remains functional or not is neither here nor there, for me. I see it pretty much every day when I go to the office. When I was away as a student or working in London, coming back home by train, the Transporter was one of the last significant things you see pulling into the station and along with the Newport Bridge, it used to help settle me back into remembering my home town, firing off memories of home that remind you that this is where you belong. Not only that but in terms of the badge and the example shown, I think it looks really nice. The colour scheme, the architecture, it sits really nice in the design in blue, as a fitting contrast to the hard reds and whites, the waves representing the Tees which it stands across. I personally think it looks really smart.
