Braithwaite is in the training pictures today. With a smile that suggests I'm ready to commit to Boro for this season get Boro promoted and be prepared for a Euro challenge for Denmark next summer and thank God Pulis isnt here maybe I can crack on. Although this is only an initial assessment based on one picture.9 points

Yeah it's not illegal because FFP is specific to the EFL. But FFP has been put in place for "profit and sustainability", and artificially dope their revenue in an unrepeatable and unsustainable way specifically to circumvent the rules. If they were selling the stadium to a true third party then you could say it was to generate legitimate revenue. Part of the stipulation of FFP is that owners are only allowed to inject a certain amount of money over a 3 year period, this is a loophole that allows them to circumvent those rules.2 points

At the end of the day the club know what happened so whether he stays or goes will be a pretty clear indicator..2 points

True I also think, that for a goalie to be the best man on the pitch, the outfield players and tactics especially have gifted the opponents too much possesion in our last third...2 points

As kong as its not the following 9 of Randy, Ayala, Fry, McNair, Howson, Sav, Wing, Tav or Britt then i am ok with it. P.S: Sav above is not a typo. I know i might be in minority but i still think he offers something none of our midfield players bar wing offer. A good return of goals from midfield.2 points

We should've kept Ripley for that job imo.. I'm looking forward to seeing Spence in preseason, could be this years breakthrough1 point

A predictable response from you. I wasn't prepared to until Pulis was gone. I've had a season ticket for over 15 years and I've been making the 5 hour round trip from Nottingham for the last four seasons. Last season it became so it wasn't worth the cost and time. For the price to go up by over £100 after what we've sat through for the last 18 months is pretty brazen.1 point

Getting MB off the books whilst dropping the level of the squads skill set will put us in a better position financially so along with Gestede etc. lets get'em gone, rather than loose someone we need1 point

Every time Pulis said something reasonably positive about Braithwaite it was always followed by “I only want players that want to play for MFC” the same way he was about Britt - he’d score but he’d always say he needs to be more clinical or similar. He never just praised he always had to get a little dig in. And I did see it as a dig when I watched/read his interviews. Whilst I don’t think Braithwaite will be here in a few months time, I’m sure whoever is here Woodgate and Keane will give them the confidence behind the scenes to succeed on the pitch. Every player needs confidence striker1 point

And pulis is well known for talking out of his *** and all of those quotes are from pulis. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.1 point

Did pulis want him? I just really struggle to believe that knowing what we know.1 point

I think Randolph would stay if he knew he was gonna be a no.1 here rather than a no.2 elsewhere, unless it was at a top 6 club. With Braitwaite I suppose it's the way he goes about it. Of course our players would leave with a better offer, I just think with him he would actively go out of his way to leave the club as soon as he knew there were offers sniffing around. I could understand the first season he maybe didn't want his World Cup chances to be harmed, but last season he actually started off really decent, the fans wanted him to stay, Pulis wanted him, he was playing well. Valdes would definitely suit a possession style more is the thing. Whereas I don't think there are many shot stoppers better than Randolph out there.1 point

I thought valdes was pretty good after that shakey start, I remember that arsenal game being the turning point. As for ‘surprise’ exits Ayala, Britt, Clayton and friend would be the biggest surprises for most fans apart from wing and tavernier who I can’t see the club selling anyway. Other than Randolph, Britt, fry, wing and probably tavernier, I don’t really rate any of the others enough to care if they’re sold.1 point

Also, Valdes buggered off before the season ended like a rat deserting a sinking ship - not that I've ever really understood why that's a bad thing as I'd like to think I'd be ahead of any rodents when it came to getting off a ship before it sinks. I would hope to be able to figure the situation out a bit more quickly than them really when it comes down to it. Not that I'd want to be on a ship with rats in the first place as that doesn't seem very hygienic and I'd have some serious questions of any ship I was planning on travelling on that was full of rats. I don't mind rats as such but I d1 point

Yep I think Fletcher showed enough potential towards the end of last year that we have to see what he can do with an attacking based style of football to work with. Fletch, Wing, Randolph, Fry, Tav, Britt. They're the ones I think should be untouchable, either due to just their sheer quality, or their age/potential combination.1 point

Absolutely not. If you just looked at the size of Dion Dublin when he was stood next to the two female presenters. There is a world of difference . Then take in the speed that men will travel when committing to a tackle it makes for a whole load of more power going into the other mans leg/ankle. Im assuming you are saying that men are generally bigger than women they should be able to absorb a certain amount more of impact. This is true but not to the degree in difference that would negate the extra weight/speed would inflict. Obviously just opinion but stand to reason for me1 point

Sure, but don't then moan that the price of your ticket was more expensive as a result.0 points

I said all along that Carrick would commit to the Boro, I dont think he's done enough for a bigish PL club to take a gamble on him, not knocking MC one bit, im happy he's staying, if it's true, great business by the club, saying that if he has signed you would have thought it would have been made public though
