What did I say? Blue W Anchor, I'm not sure how you could interpret it any other way. I mean we shouldn't be nice to the clear and obvious troll anyway...3 points

^ How can you say that? The team is playing visibly very different The type of training is glaringly different (I didn't see a single bike ride, did you?) The transfer window is different in that we're not willing to overpay anymore This is just typical Teesside pessimism.. looking for reasons and excuses to bash the club.2 points

DS King Boro is an obvious troll and I have no idea why he hasn't been banned from the forum yet, just one look at his post history pretty much confirms it, the fact he posts without using punctuation, repeating himself constantly, the total non-sequiturs and the standard trolling techniques he employs expose the fact that he isn't a very good one, either. I could put him on ignore, it's true. Annoyingly though people feel the need to quote his posts which renders the whole endeavour pointless.2 points

I know that I am not contributing a lot to the forum of late but it does not mean that I am turning a blind eye to overstepping the mark comments, which frankly are in poor taste, so can we tone down the direct attacks aimed at certain members please. FWIW I have no problems with some of the stranger posts we read on here as I do not put any stock into them, folks can fantasise as much as they want to within reason and I do not think that they are put out intentionally to wind others up. Thinking processes vary as we all are individuals and so we can take what others state with a pinch of2 points

No need for this. The lad may post some loony tunes quotes but he hasn’t insulted anyone!!2 points

https://wp.me/p4i04N-4WV Here's my report from today's friendly between Hartlepool United and Middlesbrough where goals from Marcus Tavernier, Rudy Gestede, Aden Flint and George Saville helped Middlesbrough to a 0-4 win.1 point

I 100% agree it's pure conjecture... just thinking of all possible scenarios etc . I have already come to terms with the finance and players situation etc. As a famous player / manager once said... it is what it is1 point

I appreciate your posts by an awful lot of what you’re saying is just pure conjecture. So far not a lot has happened.1 point

If you earn say £2000 per month but you're spending £4000 per month then you're buggered unless you have a lot of savings. If you don't have a lot of savings then you either need to increase your income or decrease your spending and even if you do have savings, if you're sensible you're going to do one or both of those things. We are obviously trying to do both at the moment. The issue for us right now is that our wage bill is about twice as much as the total income the club will make over the coming season (not counting transfer activity). So, before a ball is even kicked we're up against1 point

The Gibson O'Neill group as a whole in the last published accounts (the 12 months upto June 2018) it's entire turnover dropped by about £40 Million (12-15%). But the group comprises of the football club, rockcliffe and Bulkhaul. Bulkhaul actually posted an increase in turnover of over £10 Million, so I don't think at the moment Brexit is affecting our decisions. To add to that Bulkhaul makes something like 2/3rds of the groups total turnover. Where the group are failing in terms of dropping turnover and losses is the football side of things. From the accounts upto June 2017 to June 2018 t1 point

Yeah but I suppose it depends what it's referring to? There's no question that the playing style has been changed so what is it that isn't being implemented behind the scenes if you see what I mean? Are we talking about how we scout/sign players? Are we talking coaching? Presumably with a different coach the coaching will in turn be different. If it relates to how we do our business and stuff then yeah it would be seriously disappointing as it would appear to suggest that the people in charge don't believe they've got anything wrong and that takes us back to Karanka, Orta and Monk seeming1 point

yep, I think it was the villa games that was the straw that broke the camels back for most fans, a lot of people were putting up with him in the hope it would prove effective long term, but those were embarrassing games.1 point

The buzzwords have been really clear from the social media side - so many beyond obvious instagram posts about ‘pass and move’, ‘keeping possession’ and overall sensationalism around this ‘new’ direction the club is going in. You know what is really shocking, the cut Pulis will of took home from player sales could of avoided them redundancies totally. I’ll forever scratch my head in what Gibson was thinking getting conman Pulis in and sanctioning off on his signings, most of which are now inept to the ‘new direction’ e.g Flint. Was it a last desperate gamble at winning the playoffs??1 point

Yea definitely. Ayala I don't think is anywhere near as bad as Shotton or Flint either. Was quite impressed with Woods use on the ball against gateshead. Might be a little early for him though.1 point

I think fry will be very important this season. He’s very comfortable on the ball1 point

I'm gonna try to take the positive out of this and hope that it simply means that woodgate thinks that shotton should be nowhere near the right back spot!1 point

Will try to yeah, just during the warm up seen a lot of higher tempo pass and move stuff, even from the keepers. Seems to be more Boro fans turning up even still, don't know if this is the usual for a Pools friendly but we've pretty much packed the stand.1 point

Randolph probably doesn’t need as much game time as mejias. He’s fit and knows the defenders and the league.1 point
-
I think it's just more likely we only have a few preseason games left and Woodgate has to give Randolph & Mejias game time but also is looking at Hemming, James and Pears too, only so many games to cram goalies in!1 point

I've finally figured out who you are. Your the nana that liked Brad guzan.1 point

He's pretty benign compared to some of the lunatics over on FMTTM! Though i agree there's a flaw with the Ignore function when replies to someone's comments still appear.1 point

I said all along that Carrick would commit to the Boro, I dont think he's done enough for a bigish PL club to take a gamble on him, not knocking MC one bit, im happy he's staying, if it's true, great business by the club, saying that if he has signed you would have thought it would have been made public though
