  1. Middlesbrough vs Millwall (H) *Crash* *Bang* *Whallop* Woody has burst through his first hurdle with a thoroughly convincing *cough* win against Wigan Athletic! Now can he crash through the Mill-Wall and get a real head of steam going for the season? Match Information: 3pm at the riverside, Middlesbrough take on Millwall… in the battle of the cartoon lions who will take the spoils? After a run of mediocre and downright bad results Boro recorded their first win of the season and will be looking to pull a run of results together, could we see the confidence retur

  3. First post on here for me! For me, Shotton has been our worst performer this year so far. Doesn't look comfortable as a ball playing centre back, and throws himself into challenges he has no chance of winning and allowing strikers to skip past him. The quicker Fry comes back in the better, he'll add stability and confidence to our entire back line. The Wigan game specifically was poor, we all know that but it's a huge lift for the side. Win the game with a clean sheet whilst playing badly means you have a platform to build on and knowing you can grind out results in this league is i

  5. Bloody hell, I know Howson has an engine on him, but to cover both Right-back and centre mid!

  6. Before I begin, this is my first post on the forum - really enjoyed following the rumours over the summer transfer window and i'm happy to be here. I've been going to games following the home and away for the last 5 years (i'm 20 years old for context) - and have found our fans to be some of the most loyal and passionate across the country. Our away support is second to none and the atmosphere's that we can create are up there with the best, such as Luton this season; one of the best away atmospheres i've been part of. I thought the home atmospheres would've at least been slightly more p

  7. Yes, horribly, in my opinion! He's not a complete footballer (which is why he's still a championship player) but I would argue we haven't had a goalscorer as good as him in a decade or so. If he could figure out a way to a) score penalties consistently and b) not miss so many 1 on 1s, he'd hit 25+ I reckon. Lets not forget, this is a man who scored THIRTY goals across two seasons for us, 18 months of which were helmed by Pulis- during which time he was dropped with alarming regularity and often thrown under the bus.

  9. I agree. 433 but tinkering with the personnel is better than changing formation, just to see if we have the players that can be effective. I don't mind a change of formation during the match to respond to the opposition.

  10. Why are people wanting us to play 3/5 at the back now? I thought we were happy to be patient and give the team time to get some form, not just change everything after 4 games. We don’t even have the personnel to play that formation. First of all we don’t have a no.10. We also don’t have one ball playing CB, never mind 3. When playing that formation, your CB’s need to be comfortable with the ball and to often carry it into midfield. McNair could do that, but are we really going to move and change imo our best player this season, after finally seeing the player he is in his proper position.

  11. I couldn't think of anyone better to represent OneBoro than Jen. Top lass. At the minute the supporters forum comes across as a self serving advertisement platform. RedBoro TV/radio, Twel12thman asking for discounts on their travel etc. The Red Faction seem like the only organisation that are asking the questions the fans want to know.

  13. Was dropping Dijksteel harsh? Not for me. And the decision seemingly was the right one given Howson was one of our better performers. What’s the most impressive wall you’ve ever seen? Will Millwall’s direct style make us come unstuck? Either that or it could just hold us back in our attempts to go forward. I wonder if Woody will insist on full-backs bombing forward. Would you make any changes? Johnson for Browne. Fry for Shotton or Fry for a midfielder and maybe we'd be best having Shotton at right-back in this game and pushing Howson into midfield. If I was

  14. A few months back, I somehow by accident copy pasted a porn-link into a post at a random place .. It was really hillarious, but at least it lifted the mood, when the Pulis era was at it's worst ? Since then people tend to mention me, when ever there can be made a pun with something about that subject.. Which is fair enough and I can take it ? (I find it really funny my self) The POV thing I highlighted in your post is also a porn referal and I just wanted to mention it, before anyone alse saw it and felt like tagging me ?

  15. Lol, thanks mate but no I'm actually fine with leaving. It's not a big deal but I shouldn't have snapped earlier and felt bad about it. I came to see if the account was already deleted and when it wasn't I thought I should say something by way of an apology for calling people names. Other than doing in jest, it's not something I like to do and like I said, I like everyone on here a lot. However I'm cool with not posting any more, it's just an internet forum at the end of the day, a good one but still that's all it is. I'll miss the emojis though, not sure what I'll do without them at

  22. Finished this last night ? Absolutely top game in my view. I enjoyed Heavy Rain, its predecessor, but felt heavy rain had a lot more pointless tasks to complete. There was still a bit of pointless tasks in Detroit: BH, like washing dishes and picking clothes up, but kept down to a minimum. Storyline was really good, with choices you make meaningfully impacting the final outcome to the tune of there being over 99 variations of the ending apparently - a youtube video with them all in is over 4 hours long. Many characters can die, and your relationship with them based on your choices will i

  26. I agree, but that’s my point. Isn’t 4 games surely to early to drop a formation as it hasn’t clicked? I’d give at least 10 games before changing. Monk was criticised for chopping and changing formations and team selections as soon as we lost a game.

  27. Great MDT. Was dropping Dijksteel harsh? After his mistake against Blackburn no, but he needs a run in the team. What’s the most impressive wall you’ve ever seen? I don't know about impressive, but certainly the biggest was one covered in graffiti in Rotterdam. Will Millwall’s direct style make us come unstuck? No, if anything they'll sit back and force us to break them down. Like us, they're not a team exactly brimming with confidence at the minute. Would you make any changes? I'd bring Friend back in the centre with Ayala if he's fit enough. Bola ke

  28. Agree that maybe we should approach if possible with quick possession football as Fulham exposed Millwall so easily with that approach. Clayton tends to be too cautious and often slows down the potential for fast paced attacking football but if not then I will be singing my usual Ra,ra,ra Gooooooooooooooo Adam!

  29. Was dropping Dijksteel harsh? I think he needs a run of comming off the bench, then start later. Deffo a player in there, but he needs to settle mentally and in the north east first. What’s the most impressive wall you’ve ever seen? Will Millwall’s direct style make us come unstuck? Just a hunch, we will thrash right through them! Would you make any changes? 3-5-2 with a 10 and wingbacks Score predictions? 3-1

  30. I think he is right, Wilson. Stoke had been in the PL for many years and had on paper an established team and no one saw the relegation coming, before it was too late. A lot of players who stayed at the club have underperformed and are still underperforming. If some of the players feel they are too good for the good ol' champo, then they will be about the worst players in it. As an example. The small town football club, where I live ..Had 2 teams when I played .. There were 4 "divisions" between the two teams. I remember this episode, where the club's star player had to play a g

  31. Questions: Was dropping Dijksteel harsh? What’s the most impressive wall you’ve ever seen? Will Millwall’s direct style make us come unstuck? Would you make any changes? Score predictions I think it was harsh but as said above I dont think you can drop Howson. No wall is springing to mind I’m afraid They have lost Wallace and Skrital, both wingers to suspension and injury so I would imagine a very direct long ball which I think Shotton and Ayala will deal with. I would probably go with same team that started Tuesday Score ? 2-0

  32. Great OP! Was dropping Dijksteel harsh? I think so yeah, he is still getting up to speed and I thought he has had some decent game time, minus obv the penalty challenge. What’s the most impressive wall you’ve ever seen? Belfast peace line wall was impressive more importantly the art-work. Will Millwall’s direct style make us come unstuck? I don't think so, I think similar to us they lack a bit of quality and they are without the suspended Wallace. Would you make any changes? Yes. I'd still be tempted to bring Dijksteel back in and if Fry is fit enoug

  33. Was dropping Dijksteel harsh? In my eyes, yes, with the disclaimer that I didn't watch us against Blackburn or see his overall performance. When he's taken up the majority of the summer transfer budget, and a presumption that he's meant to be our long term right back, it seems very harsh to drop him for giving away a soft penalty and lacking a bit of confidence. Will Millwall’s direct style make us come unstuck? As much as any other team might, but I think they lack real quality in their squad and would hope that it could be dealt with. Would you make any changes? Un

  34. If you like everyone a lot, then stay and help make this forum even better... Only leave if you think that your life is better without the forum.. Don't leave cause you think that's a way to make it better for others .. I bet most users on here like a lot of all your posts .. Heck.. look at the rating system .. you are close to hitting that evil number of 666 ? Just give people the right to argue against you, if u have one of them days, where everybody else is always wrong or turning every little thing into a pedantric sarcastic pun, which not everybody is capable of understanding ?

  35. If you leave, cause you are mad at yourself for snapping and tend to name calling .. Then don't leave! If you are just having a bad day/week and this feels worse than it is, then don't leave .. If you feel that the right thing for you right now is leaving, then I won't hold you back. But don't leave because you feel misunderstood .. I know that feeling well, but in the end, it's not worth giving any attention .. I bet you understood the way I joked about the multiple accounts thing some weeks back (where others still gives me stick, cause they thought I was being serious) ... Th

But some post and views from your side are actually really good and spot on ... I figure I am on your list of arseholes ? But that's alright .. We had some good arguments once in a while. I just don't think that all people understand all the sarcasm and the few situations, where being right is so very important, that every pedantric little stone must be turned... 40. CT goes and king boro returns? Hmm. ? As much as I barely expect us to batter them the way Fulham have, you'd hope this gives us something else to hopefully feel positive about. Yes Millwall will want to strike back but maybe with our extra day's rest and the positivity of a win behind us, I'm feeling a bit more confident about getting a result. Bring them on on Saturday.

  43. From the past 5 years i've had a season ticket, obviously i've seen frustration towards players and managers alike, as yes we have a passionate fanbase from a working class region. But there comes to a point where that is no longer excuse, imo. I have never felt this until now, but the actions of some fans last night from the south stand was just unacceptable. There is a time and place for booing and hurling abuse (under Pulis, for example), but I just cannot see how giving it towards Woody and his team 4 league games into a season is helpful or acceptable. We were desperate for a win and it w

I just use my username as my password because most people think that nobody would be so stupid as to do that, and people know how stupid I am not, so nobody would suspect that I would use it. In fact, it's probably the one password that nobody would even try and thus it's the safest password in the world ?

they must give a toss given as they are often the clubs winning it would devalue the cups even more removing the champions league clubs from them, which would mean everyone gets much less money, as its going to be harder to sell the tv rights and sell more sponsorship for more money every year when you basically downgrade the competition and remove the best teams from it, epically internationally they are paying for them teams as they draw far more interest in them teams than they do  we are not the only team that's had some crazy injury issues this season, so anything to help relieve that pressure has to help us, and think not having to replay teams will benefit us more, i'm all for no replays as i'd rather take a prem team to penalties than a replay where they have the players to fix where they went wrong the first time (as we saw vs chelsea in the semis this year lol). going to be fun to see more smaller teams down the pyramid getting some giant killings, love out like that me seeing a prem team get taken out by a non league or league 2 team and you know its something their fans will remember for ages, epically if they put a lil run together.

Dom Shaw on the podcast mentioned 3-4 million.   My understanding from piecing together various stories was 3-4 million dollars and then Rotherham had a sell on clause and we ended up with just over £2million.   But, thats based on stories and assumptions.
