I don't think it's all bad. We just need a few players in the January window. Two centre backs. Two fullbacks. Two centre midfielders and two wingers. And two forwards.6 points

This is a rookie manager trying to change the dynamic of a football club. It was never going to be simple or easy to do that. People asking him to resign? I'm just not sure what people are hoping to accomplish by doing that other than it being an emotional response to what we've just watched. It's not a logical decision to make. We seemed to all pretty much accept that Woodgate has the job because the club has messed up financially and where does that leave us regarding our options if Woodgate leaves? I've been saying it for nearly 2 years that people want us to be part of the managerial merry5 points

I'll have a rant because my week has been *** and now this is the icing on the cake. Firstly, I am not surprised we are where. Woodgate never had the experience to do this, and he has also not got the funds. Gibson knows all of this and is treating the fans like mugs. I don't think I blame Woodgate, I'd do the same to jump at the chance to manage us in his position. But, he must share some of the blame for where we currently are. Without Randolph we would be bottom, 100%. We started brightly and since that Luton game, I have no idea how we are trying to play. What is Woodgate's phi3 points

It’s not great, but the team is set up to play attacking football without the attacking players needed to make it work. Following from Pulis sucking the life out of the players/fans, Woodgate was given a poisoned chalice. Gibson didn’t back him properly and is treating the fans with contempt - and letting Woodgate get the blame. The club needs a revamp - and the that won’t happen with Gibson in charge. The game has moved on we have moved backwards.3 points

I feel like because it's October and results are becoming too dire (dire is acceptable apparently this season they said just not this dire) we're due a Gazette annual piece on Boro 'boo boys' that just have such lofty expectations *checks notes* of a 60 million pound squad and a *checks notes* manager appointed after scouting far and wide for a candidate. Whole things a farce everyone's culpable for it Pulis underachieved, Monk underachieved and Woodgate's underachievement is worst of all he premised things on nonsense 'play quick score goals' promised mid August we'd never see a Crewe pe3 points

Anyone starting to think that Woodgate didn’t actually beat Jokanovic in the interview process and was actually given the job because he was the cheapest?3 points

I'm genuinely amazed that people were hating a season where we finished 7th, but are happy watching a season where there is a very real possibility of us being in league 1 this time next Season.3 points

I do feel a sorry for Woodgate, local guy, fan, hard work and all. I see all that and I feel his pain and I can't really blame him for taking the job or the state Boro are in. It's not his fault the club is in this position but I don't see any real way forward here. If we can avoid relegation Boro will surely face the same issues as before in every transfer window. Who's going to want to come here even if Boro can afford to bid? And, sadly, if the man at the top tries to sell the club I can't see any mega rich investor wanting it. I think we may be facing a good few years of this, sadly.2 points

If Woodgate stays, yes. If he goes, there is still the basis of a team that finished seventh under a manager who got a nosebleed beyond the halfway line. Any manager who can actually manage should be able to get this squad mid-table. Birmingham were out of form and low on confidence before tonight, and we just made them look like Brazil. We did that, not them.2 points

I actually booed at the TV when we equalised, that's how utterly shocking we were.2 points

Stand by my comments last week Woodgate isn't good enough to be a manager yet. He needs to go otherwise we're in huge danger of heading to league 1 next season2 points

Agree if Woodgate truly loves the club he will resign tonight as he has to admit he has taken the plunge far too soon and is way out of his depth.2 points

I really really really would love to of been a fly on that dressing room wall at half time and at training as honestly what are we even trying to achieve2 points

Pulis teams were far easier on the eye than this. This is a disgrace. Woodgate should be embarrassed he has prepared his team to play like this.2 points

Shotton is getting rogered more than a policeman's radio right now2 points

This is far far worse than anything Pulis served up, regardless of how anybody feels about him they can't deniy it. We look like relegation fodder, these are bang average and we can't get close to them.2 points

Christ we are so so so bad. I can't remember the last time we looked this bad. At least under Pulis you knew where you stood and what he wanted his team to look like. They're tearing is to shreds ln the flanks. 7 corners as well is a stat that just popped up. Goodness me.2 points

I just wish we played like we did against luton every week. Even if we concede a million goals a week it would be better than this2 points

We end every game with 40 something possession whether it's PRESTON at home or CARDIFF away how does that = goals? Empty his promise and talk of 'goals hitting the net' I'm not sure where else there is to go with him it's a fundamentally flawed footballing setup the premise is 'our ball your ball' and 'quicker quicker' the whole thing's aimless and flawed there's no turnaround to be had we give up too much possession and crosses, by design, to keep clean sheets and on the ball we aren't setup at all at times we look like a pub team we stick 4 up front keep 4 back pass it 2 yards a couple1 point

Woodgate has got to go. He's made us look an absolute shell of what we once we're. The entire club has been gutted from top to bottom in 3 years. From premier League highs, to fighting relegation all in 4years. I honestly don't know what to say now. 490 quid I'm paying for a club that is abject, sinking and in trouble. Christ sake Gibbo do the right thing please. Put him out his misery. Stop this pathetic vanity project. A coaching team that hasn't a scooby doo, and a scouting team and chief executive who are abject and hopeless. They lost 3 in a row previous to this. Did tha1 point

Not even being funny but if have felt awful to have kept a 1-1. They deserve a win. Woodgates got to go.1 point

Jokanovic wanted a Pulis wage packet and wanted to actually see some investment as had targets to bring in as wanted us to be competing for promotion. Gibson felt he didn't want to spent this amount is my instinct1 point

I said to a Mate earlier, if we can't get a result here after them losing 3 in a row, surely Woodgates position is untenable? 2 wins. 2.1 point

I'm sorry Woody may be a Boro legend but he is totally way out of his depth here and if something isn't done we are going to struggle to stay up1 point

I genuinely think we're in a relegation dog fight right now and it's showing no signs of getting better at all. We look worse than last season and it's amazingly getting worse as each game goes by. How much more time do we allow Woodgate to keep learning on the job while we plunge down the table? We look disgraceful right now Birmingham have lost 3 in a row coming in to this, and they genuinely look like they're fighting for promotion. We look like a league 1 side in a cup game. Nothing can dress this up. The start to the season has been a disaster and it's getting wo1 point

How many flops score 14 goals in a Pulis team. Talk about an overstatement, Jesus wept. I don't care ultimately who scores the goals so long as the team is capable of scoring the goals. If he bangs then in against weaker sides and other players score against the big sides, who ultimately gives a cack? Not that we are in any place either last season or this season to be doing that but I firmly ain't placing the blame entirely on him for that. Add to the fact I've seen genuine improvement from him this season in both his decision making and definitely his hold up play, if he can contin1 point

He was absolutely woeful against Crewe Alexandra, which was his chance to stake a claim, and that's the reason Woodgate has given for him not starting before now.1 point

Weird feeling 3 games in 6 days and after this no games in 15 days. Come on Boro put a smile on our faces especially before the weekend!1 point

kinda nitpicky, it would be better if you stuck with tradition and had 'Birmingham City vs Boro' in title rather than 'Boro vs Birmingham City (away)' ...no need to reinvent the wheel. Had me thinking it was another home game there for a split second. ?♂️??♂️??♂️1 point

I could be wrong, but I think the second yellow was so soft that the referee knew exactly what he was doing when he did it. No chance he'd have given a yellow card for such a minor incident if he'd thought it was leading to a red card. -

Very lucky considering Martinez got two yellows but got away with it due to the penalties not being regarded as the same game, which doesn't really make sense to me -

Yeah, I get that. Like last night, Real Madrid were played off the park by Man City but have scraped through to a major semi-final because City couldn't finish and they've scrapped away goals. Tonight, Aston Villa were lucky to beat Lille on penalties, who were much the better team on the night.
