  1. Ahh the benefit of hindsight. Og course people would rather want midt table nothingness while being fed sleeping pills every weekend over relegation. It's like choosing between two evils. All I wanted was the club to try something different from Pulis who is a destroyer of clubs. He did the exact same thing at WBA. And how you can class Pulis as an honest man is completely beyond me. He is a money grabbing, narciscistic liar. From everything he's said and done during his time here I have no doubt that he only cared about himself and how much money he could take out while deflecting everyt

  2. I think its crazy that the same people who criticise Gibson for being destructive to this football club and making the same mistakes over and over again step now talking about bringing pulis back. We need to move away from this model of trying something and then when it doesnt work reverting back to the complete other end of the scale. Pulis is the last person I want to see managing this football club, woodgate included. Absolute insanity.

  3. I don't see how we were shown up? Ever thought for a second that he might of played because his commitment was questioned and he wanted to prove that he was committed? For the record, I don't have a clue if Britt wants to leave in January. Please don't assume because my brother posts something that I have provided information because I certainly haven't. I will only ever post information I have received. It's up to you guys if you want to believe it or not.

  5. Let's hope so. It'll help all parties.

  6. Are the people agitating for Pulis's return remembering that his atrocious signings are a large part of the reason Woodgate inherited a hopelessly unbalanced squad with no width, no confidence and no attacking prowess? Even a talented and experienced manager couldn't undo the damage Pulis did to our squad and their playing style within four months, and Woody is neither of those things. It's possible to believe Pulis AND Woodgate were both terrible managerial appointments, in different ways. It's not a binary choice between them. Nor should we start viewing Monk's disastrous reign with ros

  7. I don't know about Indians, but the Schellenbergs factory produced such strange smells that it wouldn't surprise me.....although I wouldn't repeat story too much as you might get Siouxed..................................................

  9. Although I agree with most of your post I have to disagree with moving on Ayala. Gibson has to come up with the cash to fund his new contract. 29 is not a old age for a good centre back he still as a good 4 years in his locker if not more. But what you really have to ask is does he want to carry on playing at Boro with all the turmoil that surrounds the club and the future not looking so bright.

  10. I loath the club for selling key players even if it makes sense because I simply have no faith in our recruitment to replace them with anyone that's any good! Like with Ayala he's 29 next year when his contract ends be 30 so we should maybe move him on and get a 22 year old centre back in who has their prime ahead of them. But these signings are literal gambles for the club to make shown by Bola, Dijksteel and Browne. I just have no faith in our scouting set up at all when was the last time the club signed a genuine gem of a player

  11. Are the rumours true that Woodgate has changed our pitch entrance song to Alexander O'Neal's, Criticize?

  13. I think you're right, though I think it's unfortunate that the way he put it can absolutely be misconstrued as anyone who just makes comments on social media. There are some well-reasoned, well thought out comments made on social media. Few and often far between. Whilst the hope is that those who do make the reasonable comments look at it and realise he's probably not talking about them, I can see why that wouldn't be the case.

  14. I think his comments...however poorly phrased...were aimed at those who do nothing but criticise..most of us say it as we see it, if a player has a good day, most are prepared to acknowledge it, just as we will say that they stunk the place out......we are all a mixture of positives and negatives and that's just part of life......the only ones who should be truly offended are those who don't really care about the club and just get their kicks from being able to upset others...and that means it is not aimed at the vast majority of people on here........

  15. Well you can look at Woody's comment two ways. There are undoubtedly trolls and idiots online, everywhere you go. Not to mention fans of other clubs wading in with their 2 cents. If people were giving him and the team grief after this game, then thats fair enough. You do have to block out the media, to a certain extent and just focus on your job, given the frenzy of criticism that comes your way, when things aren't going well. If he's also including "real" fans who simply can't make the trip from Teesside, to the far flung corners of the country (or London), then h

  16. Let's not start sucking him off just because he scored a brace today, he's still a donkey who misses really easy chances more often than not.

  17. It’s the standard ‘one or the other’ paradox most boro fans seem to have, ‘WE NEED A DEFENSIVE MANAGER WE CANT KEEP A CLEAN SHEET!!!’ ‘NOW WE NEED AN ATTACKING MANAGER, WE CANT SCORE!!’ What we needed that season after relegation was a manager to come in, take what karanka has built and slightly tweak it, but no. Typical boro we tore it up and started from scratch. Then what happened a few months later? We get a guy totally opposite to come in, he tore it up yet again. This summer we did exactly the same. We need a manager who can set his teams up with balance, not to overload o

  18. Just thought of this one: Oh My God - Kaiser Chiefs If we end up getting well beaten, the fans could sing something like: "Oh my God I can't believe it...we've never been quite this crap before..." Now I think about it, we can make a full song of it: Verses Time running out, wonder where it went Worst fifty million that we ever spent Wearing a shirt with Gestede's name on it Falling down the league like Halley's comet Too much time passing backwards & sideways So depressing watching how this team plays

they must give a toss given as they are often the clubs winning it would devalue the cups even more removing the champions league clubs from them, which would mean everyone gets much less money, as its going to be harder to sell the tv rights and sell more sponsorship for more money every year when you basically downgrade the competition and remove the best teams from it, epically internationally they are paying for them teams as they draw far more interest in them teams than they do  we are not the only team that's had some crazy injury issues this season, so anything to help relieve that pressure has to help us, and think not having to replay teams will benefit us more, i'm all for no replays as i'd rather take a prem team to penalties than a replay where they have the players to fix where they went wrong the first time (as we saw vs chelsea in the semis this year lol). going to be fun to see more smaller teams down the pyramid getting some giant killings, love out like that me seeing a prem team get taken out by a non league or league 2 team and you know its something their fans will remember for ages, epically if they put a lil run together.

Dom Shaw on the podcast mentioned 3-4 million.   My understanding from piecing together various stories was 3-4 million dollars and then Rotherham had a sell on clause and we ended up with just over £2million.   But, thats based on stories and assumptions.
