I know a lot of people think that we should attack for 90 minutes of every game but is that realistic? We are in the bottom six and Forest in the top six. We are riddled with injuries and were away from home. A point is a good result no matter what way you look at it. We did attack well when we went behind and Woodgate is to be commended for that, not lambasted. Had we been gung ho from the off we may well have been trounced. That was a good performance from the manager tonight. He is definitely learning.4 points

No getting away from how poorly we were set up for that first 60 mins. HOWEVER There are a lot of positives from that game - The result- very few thought wed get anything from this, weve got a point. Could be massive - the reaction when we went down- couple of good substitutions from woodgate and a complete mentality switch. - we are absolutely injury torn and playing away from home against one of the divisions top sides and had 6 academy players on the pitch and came away with something. Regardless of how we got it, that's to be admired.4 points

Thing is, if we nick a point then Woodgate will just ignore the 64 minutes of dross that led to us conceding in the first place and feel vindicated.4 points

Woodgate will be wondering if he can bring Clayton back on to see out the draw...4 points

some people are willing woody to fail, which are sad individuals imho,a point agaist a top 6 team seems is not enough for some2 points

I'd love to be able to rip Woodgate apart after tonight's game, but I cant. Well done to him for going to Forest and getting something. I completely didnt expect him to, so credit where credits due.2 points

Average performance but a vital point against a top six side. Well happy with that as I expected us to lose. Anyone who doesn't think this is a good result given our position in the leauge needs to give there head a shake. You can all slam Woodgate but he went back to two up top before we got the penalty and went more attacking so he does deserve some credit for at least having a go and then getting some luck.2 points

Welcome point happy with the result but not overly with the performance. We are much better when in attacking mode2 points

Great result. Especially after going 1 down. Good to show some grit to get back into it vs a decent team2 points

Delighted with the point, very frustrated with the performance.2 points

Why are we so terrified of having a shot? We seem to get in good positions on the edge of the box and just pass it around and lose it.2 points

Been the better team since they scored, should have let them score in the 1st min2 points

In my opinion, the wins we've had have just been off moments. These poor performances are just much more consistent with how we've been this season. I didn't expect anything going in to this game, but the way we've played today has been disgraceful tbh.2 points

Pears needs to catch more and parry and punch less if he's to be our long term number 1. Very dangerous moment there.2 points

Was at a conference last week where Kasper Hjulmand, Denmarks future national coach was a guest speaker, He took us through his career and how he works with talents and taking his former club from nothing to champions with one of the smallest budgets in the league. He is absolutely magnificent at working with young players and player management. He was the guy I wanted when we signed Monk, Pulis and Woodgate. Oh well, back to my point. To make a club succesfull you need three pillars; strategy, know-how and ressources. 85% of succes in professional football comes from having more ressources th2 points

I wasn’t having a go at you Brunners or anyone in particular. I respect your opinion. I just think that a rookie manager deserves our support1 point

Great away point & at a bogey ground too & going behind to then level, quality Woody must be pleased with his players, he's taken some stick this season but Leeds & Sheffield Weds apart we've not been thumped Hooefullyvwe are starting to see a slight improvement that will, fingers crossed, see us gradually move away from the bottom 3 teams1 point

Woodgate is so full of ***. All this bull about not being afraid to play youngsters. The only reason any of our youngsters are playing is because of injury. He has completely changed our formation just to avoid having to play one of our young strikers. Have some balls Woodgate and show us you’re not just talk. Because, honestly, since he’s got the job that’s all he’s been. “we will play attacking football” - bullshit ”we will play high press football” - bullshit ”I will play the youth players” - bullshit1 point

Waited all night for that goal. My god we’re a poor team. Woodgate went into this game with zero ambition. Not a shred of belief that we could get something.1 point

Absolutely nothing wrong with that from Spence. Forest player faking injury is the only reason it was given as a foul.1 point

To be honest and irrespective of the score I think we will see a decent game of football from both teams, the shackles may just be loosened due to the team we will most likely put out. Hey they may as well have a go because you never know...…...well we will later on!1 point

You were probably held back a couple of years at school so it just made it seem that way 🤭1 point

We're currently 19th so I wouldn't say we've even reached the dizzy heights of being a mid table Championship team yet 🙂1 point

Living just over a mile away from the City Ground this is the shortest trip of the season for me. Historically it's not been a ground for great Boro games but in my two previous visits I've not seen us lose. A 0-0 draw in 2012 that took us to 2nd in the table apparently, and a 1-2 win in 2015 with goals from Nugent and Ayala and a late penalty save from Dimi to hold on to 3 points and take us to 2nd in the table again. No chance of 2nd tonight but I'm feeling foolishly optimistic about getting a result. They've not been great at home and we've not won yet on the road. I didn't see the game1 point

Do people believe we are now accepting the clubs position as a mid table Championship team. To be fair I still get angry and frustrated at loosing but I’m drifting away from the locked in syndrome of following live commentary and scores, and in fact I’m not rushing about to see how we did. I notice for the first time this Xmas no one in the family has bought BORO franchise. i believe the Championship is where we belong and we will have a season or two were we do well but let’s face it, the club has made it pretty clear changes are being made to consolidate our stay. I worry it’s a pretty b1 point

Yeah, tough game but I'm not sure a defeat puts us back to square one, mate. We're going to lose games because there are better teams than us so we have to accept that. But if we can win the games we should have a chance in and not look too rubbish in the others then that's progress of sorts. I have more optimism after Saturday, not because we beat a bad side, but because we actually looked like a decent side while doing it. I don't think we did against Barnsley or in our other wins this season. But I thought we did against Charlton, minus the putting the ball in the back of the net bit 🤦1 point

I said all along that Carrick would commit to the Boro, I dont think he's done enough for a bigish PL club to take a gamble on him, not knocking MC one bit, im happy he's staying, if it's true, great business by the club, saying that if he has signed you would have thought it would have been made public though
